This candle arch is truly spectacular! It's finished in natural wooden tones, creating a soft color palette.
It also features slots for up to nine candles - a great way to light up the delightful scene below.
A beautiful city stretches across the length of the arch with a tremendous amount of detail. This is evident in the carefully constructed buildings and village people. In the center of the scene is the Frauenkirche, the most imposing dome building of the German baroque period . To embody the monumental effect of the sandstone, slight emphasis was placed with a few exotic woods. Right next to the Frauenkirche, the Coselpalais, with 157 filigree milled windows and faithfully implemented mansard roof with its parapet.
This building is flanked by a corner building, which impresses with its three-story bay window and balcony-like stem (Altan). To the left of the house a Residential townhouse has been modeled with 83 windows, 2 portals and four dormers. All three houses are nestled in a slight curve to the Frauenkirche.
The arch is completed by the Johanneum, the current Transport Museum, former tables, and the former home of the goldsmith Georg Christoph Dinglinger. The stretch of road is illuminated leading towards the Church of Our Lady that also includes interior lighting (120V) inside of the buildings. Note also the small street lamps along the simulated Augustus Bridge in the foreground.
